Can I use it year-round?

Absolutely. Lapelland Saunas are engineered in Finland to handle all seasons — from sunny summer days to -35°C winters. You’ll enjoy reliable heat, dry interiors, and perfect löyly anytime, anywhere.

How do Lapelland saunas compare to traditional built saunas?

Our saunas are not a compromise—they’re an evolution. Expertly crafted with optimal airflow, off-the-ground design, and top-tier materials, they deliver equal (or better) löyly than traditional saunas — with none of the construction hassle.

How long does a Lapelland Sauna last?

Our saunas are built to last for decades. Exceptional experience, and Finnish craftsmanship ensure exceptional durability with minimal upkeep.

Do I need a building permit?

Usually not! Since Lapelland Saunas are mobile and built on a trailer chassis, they generally do not require permits. Check with your local authority if you’re connecting it permanently to water or power network.

 What heating options are available?

You can choose:

  • Wood-burning stove – for the most authentic Finnish experience.
  • Electric heater – convenient, fast, and easy to control.

Both options can be installed depending on your preference.

Where does the water go?

If using a bucket and ladle, greywater typically drains safely into the ground. For saunas with water tanks or showers, local greywater disposal rules may apply. Ask us for guidance.

How do I maintain my sauna?

Lapelland Sauna maintenance is easy:

  • Ventilate after each session
  • Wipe down benches and surfaces with mild cleaners
  • Occasionally check heater stones and replace if cracked

Is the sauna delivered ready to use?

Yes. Every Lapelland Sauna arrives fully assembled — just place it, plug it in (if electric), and enjoy the löyly. No construction needed.

Where are your saunas made?

Proudly built in Finland – the home of sauna culture. Every sauna is handcrafted at our modern factory located in Pyhäntä, using responsibly sourced, PEFC-certified wood.
